Iliya Vodenicharov and Krastina Ivanova are the Holders of Lachezar Tsotsorkov Prize

The young talents of table tennis in Panagyurishte Iliya Vodenicharov an Krastina Ivanova won Lachezar Tsotsorkov prize this year. Both were awarded by the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Assarel-Medet JSC, Dimitar Tsotsorkov, during the official ceremony at the inauguration of the Fourth International Table Tennis Tournament  Seamaster 2018 ITTF World Tour Asarel Bulgaria Open which started on August 16 in Arena Assarel sports hall. “I am pleased to award Iliya and Krastina. They are very talented contesters and I am sure that they will have a lot of success in the future”, Dimitar Tsotsorkov said after he bestowed the prizes. 


A record number of participants in the tournament was registered this year – more than 270 from 41 countries among whom are the Olympic champions for men and women and eight contesters from Top 10 of the world rank list.

 “I believe that prof. Lachezar Tsotsorkov would have been very proud with this tournament edition. Under his management term, Assarel-Medet JSC became a major sponsor of the contest and today the tournament is an integral part of the enormous heritage what prof. Tsotsorkov bequeathed to  the municipality of Panagyurishte and Bulgaria,” the Chairperson of  Assarel Bulgaria Open Association Ivan Alexandrov said in his welcoming address at the tournament inauguration.

“The very fact that contesters from 41 countries are participating and olympic champions and tennis players of the Top 10 of the world rank list are among them  is impressive“, the Executive Director of Assarel-Medet JSC, eng. Delcho Nikolov, said and thanked the organizers. “Our company supports all significant initiatives in the municipality of Panagyurishte and  Assarel Bulgaria Open Tournament is undoubtedly among them”, eng. Delcho Nikolov added.
