200 Workers and Employees from Asasrel were Awarded for Professional Achievements and Long Experience in the Company

200 workers, employees and managers from Assarel-Medet JSC were distinguished for their professional achievements or long year career in the company and its affiliates at a company celebration which took place on August 21 in Arena Assarel sports hall.

100 workers, dispatchers, technologists, mechanics, electricians, shift foremen, specialists and managers were nominated by their coworkers as the Best in the Profession.

During the traditional ceremony, another 100 people who completed 25, 30 or 35 years of continuous labor experience in Assarel-Medet JSC or its affiliates in 2018 were also rewarded.

Two employees were distinguished with For Merits to Assarel-Medet JSC honorary token: Petka Dimitrova who is a reagent worker and Ivan Dralev who is an equipment operator at the Electric Power Supply, Energy Efficiency and Engineering. According to the established company rules, this award is bestowed to anyone who has more than 20 years of labor experience and has been distinguished as The Best in the Profession at least five times in the recent 10 years.

Each of them was given a certificate of grateful acknowledgement and a company copper souvenir by the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board, Dimitar Tsotsorkov, and the Executive Diorector, eng. Delcho Nikolov. Many workers and employees from Assarel had come to the ceremony with their families.



At the beginning of the ceremony, a movie was shown that was created by the team of Manager magazine about the late Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Assarel-Medet JSC, prof. Lachezar Tsotsorkov, PhD. Part of the team who worked on the movie was among the guests in the hall – the editorial director of Manager magazine, Maxim Mayer, the journalists Boryana Telbis and Elitsa Nikolova as well as two of the interviewed people: the world champion in Sambo, Mariya Oryashlova, and the car racing ace Iliya Tsarski. In memoriam of prof. Tsotsorkov, Manager magazine also published a book with interviews made with him and memories of people who worked with him during the years. The edition will be given as a present to all workers and employees of the company and guests who will celebrate the professional and company holiday of Assarel-Medet JSC on August 25 in the village of Panagyurski Kolonii.

The program starts at 10:30 with water blessing and solemn prayers for health and prosperity for in St. Ivan Rilski church in the village of Panagyurski Kolonii. Shortly before noon Uti Bachvarov will prepare a delicious mutton soup as a offering in a cauldron made of copper mined from Assarel. The celebration concert will start at 11:30 with the performance of Delcho Radivchev brass band. Then, the cheerleader team of United Children’s Complex in Panagyurishte and amateur dance groups from the region will come to the stage. The fans of Bulgarian music will rejoice the eternal hits of Orlin Goranov and those who are keen of Bulgarian folklore – with the performance of Severnyashki dance ensemble. Poly Genova and Doni and Neti duo will sing for the youngest. The acme of the concert will be the rock legend fro Uriah Heep, John Lawton, who is expected to come on stage at about 4 pm together with one of the best Bulgarian groups, BTR.
